I devoured An Armful of Animals in one sitting and still have that warm sense of being thoroughly beguiled and delighted by an expert story-teller and devoted animal-lover/5(75). Drawing on his own experiences of working as a vet, Malcolm Welshman brings to life a One Welshman book of colourful characters -- including the formidable practice receptionist, Beryl, with her one steely eye -- and an ark's worth of marvellous animals.

As enchanting as it is funny, this wonderful story /5(). A book full of smiles, Malcolm wrote a humour filled, tongue firmly in cheek, book - describing both animals and owners colourfully.

It was one of those books you don't want to put down, but nor do you want to get to the end, because then there's no more to read. This book left me wanting more from Mr Welshman's pen.
